First Pages was founded in April 2022.
With a focus on illustrated non-fiction, we offer editorial services for print and digital books, exhibition content and educational resources. We also provide support for authors with text development, picture research and image rights, helping to get material ready for submission.

Specialising in art, photography, design, architecture and museum content, we cover a range of material from exhibition catalogues and guidebooks to gallery guides and learning resources.

LIZZY SILVERTON
Following her MA at the Royal College of Art, Lizzy started her career in publishing at a literary agency. It was here she gained her love of working closely with authors. She moved into art publishing two years later, working for the Royal Collection for nine years. During this time her roles included editor, project manager and rights manager. In 2021, she moved to RIBA for a short-term contract before founding First Pages.

From researching the final hours of life onboard the Titanic to colour proofing against original Leonardo drawings, and from publications on the practices of contemporary architects to those of twentieth-century fashion designers, Lizzy has worked on an incredible range of projects with many accomplished authors.

Some of her recent projects include the publication for the reopening of the National Portrait Gallery, Yevonde: Life and Colour; the catalogue accompanying the major exhibition at the Ashmolean, Anselm Kiefer: Early Works; the inspirational 100 Women Architects in Practice for RIBA; and for Yale University Press, the important new volume on Africa's Fashion Diaspora.
